For those of you who aren’t aware, I used to work for the City of Fort Collins in the Communications and Public Involvement Office. I LOVED my experience at the City and as a real estate agent there are, what feels like, a million opportunities to sing their praises and call for involvement. Fort Collins is an incredibly run municipality.

A major item on the City’s to-do list is updating City Plan. This is a comprehensive plan for the next 15-20 years. The plan’s vision includes livability, sustainability and community. The idea is to move into the future strategically, keeping in mind how the area will continue to evolve. When it comes to real estate in Northern Colorado a major question is where people will go with land becoming a shortage in Fort Collins. Home prices, inventory and population will all be variables as we move forward.

The City’s Planning Department wants to hear from YOU! Community input is always an important component when making major decisions like this one.

Check out the City Plan website to review the full draft plan or comment on key features. There is also a Draft City Plan Event at the Drake Center on Monday, February 25 from 6-8 p.m. where you can discuss in person.

Finally, the video below was produced by the City’s cable channel FCTV for the 2019 State of the City Address. It’s lengthy, but well worth the time to watch! First, the Cit’s creative team is incredible and the people who work behind the scenes to help make Fort Collins thrive are passionate and truly inspiring.
